Color Rendering. ;)

Una sa lahat, HINDI KO PO TO GAWA. Ito po ang GAGAYAHAN ko. K po?

Okay. So yan ang bago naming gagawin kay Arch. Gamba sa Color Rendering. Uhm. If I’m not mistaken, Landscape Rendering yan na Floor Plan Application achu-chu-chu. Hahahaha.

Haha.

Opo? Pls. Ikaw ang magpapaganda ng gawa ko. A hundred percent surenesz!

Dibaaaaa? :*

So, any tips guise?

Something on net caught my attention.

Look here. Then look for this picture below,

OUCH. Feels like there’s no other option. It’s already posted online, that Architecture in the Philippines is dead. This is very alarming, and offensive.

I wonder how come its not out in the news but on the internet, on wiki, it is. I hope soon there will be, Rebirth of Architecture in the Philippines in the near future.

So Fulfilling!

Ang course na kinuha ko ay napaka-fulfilling. Each time na may natatapos akong gawing plate, may kagandahan man o wala, I feel fulfilled.

Sky, mountain, grass and one thing na gusto mo ilagay (except bahay or puno). May mga techniques din na tinuro. And I am proud to say na ginawa ko yung pinapagawa, hindi ako nagdaya. Hindi ako gumamit ng white paint. 🙂

I still have a class at 7. Lol. Well, now, I can sleep with a smile. Goodnight.

ARCHITECT: an architecture short film

Watch this video.

The story is well-written. I can related. Like!

STOP generalizing. Please. It degrades everybody!

When I woke up sleep last night and found out about the RA 9266, I started reading blogs and articles about it. One thing that I can’t forget is a comment from an unknown person who said…

These architects deserve this. They’re greedy and they abuse their draftsmen.

The nerves! Who’s he to say this? How can he degrade Architects in such a manner? Making such a general statement like Architects are bad people. This got me so much and I really can’t understand how he can post this publicly. No wonder why it was just an anonymous account.

This statement hurts. Though I’m just an aspirant, it degrades me. Not just me, but also the other students and most specially, the Architects. What if other people who are narrow-minded keep on thinking this and made this his impression about Architects? Its hurts a lot when someone thinks of you the wrong way even though you’ve done nothing.

This is what I hate about generalization. Even though you’re not guilty, you still feel like you do. I know there are some Architects who are like this. Let’s face the reality. But not just Architects. There are also greedy and abusive Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Accountants, Lawyers, Engineers, and etc. Even the smallest kind of profession has one. It just depends on the behavior of an individual. But take note, the people who can be like this are the ones who are on the top. So how about those who’s just starting with their respective professions? Being accused through generalization is so degrading.

And about that statement above, I have one thing to say.

If all Architects are like that, Bicol University Department of Architecture won’t be called BU Arki FAMILY.

ARKI DISMAY BADGE

We will fight for the ARCHITECTURE Profession. We will fight for our Rights.

As a sign of dismay to the Court of Appeals, in its Decision dated 5 January 2012, granting the appeal of PICE and reversed the Decision of the Regional Trial Court with regards to the signing of plans.
Let us wear a Black Ribbon in our Facebook Accounts.

We will fight for the ARCHITECTURE Profession. We will fight for our Rights.

R.A 9266 The Architecture Act of 2004

This is the logo I saw when I read a blog about the RA 9266: The Architecture Act of 2004. The usual logo of United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), with white background, now has a black one. After the Court of Appeals revised their decision about Civil Engineers signing Architectural Drawing & Plans. This, made my spirit down.

Yes. I am an Architecture student, just in my first year. And maybe you’re wondering why this has affected me this much. Why? Simply because my dream is to be an Architect. A full-fledged Architect. An Architect who does things that an Architect must do. That’s why I’m doing my very best to do in class. But this? It just blew my dream away. ‘Cause even though I finish my degree, it’s just like useless. ‘Cause somebody else can do my job, the job that I studied for years.

I have nothing against Civil Engineers. I respect them. I remember when my professor answered the question, “Why are we in the campus of Engineering?”. He said, “‘Cause a good plan is being prepared by an Architect AND an Engineer.” So I really can’t understand why PICE filed a bill like this. If they’re about the expense of having an Architect as a buddy, then why should people hire an Engineer if they can just rely to their ideas and what-they-know? We hire professionals so that we can be sure of the things we want to happen. We trust these professionals because we know that they worked hard just to reach what they’ve already reached. And we, Architecture students, are in this process.

I do believe that implementing this bill is also like erasing the course Bachelor of Science in Architecture. How come? Why would students suffer from sleepless nights doing plates, passing requirements of demanding minor subjects, taking years to be an apprentice, buying these expensive drafting tools, etc., if someone will just take their job in a split second? It’s like studying hard for an exam that is not recorded. It’s not a joke to take BS Architecture, no wonder why Guinness Book of World Records recognized Architecture as the hardest course. See? Why can’t we just appreciate the efforts that one gives.

Dear Philippine Government, please be considerate. If this would be the case, you should have not let this country to have a course like this. Think of us students who’s taking this degree. We know that you’re educated people, so you must understand us. This is not about practicality anymore, its being selfish and unfair. But to make this lighter, can you also approve a bill that says Architects can sign Structural Plans and other plans that a Civil Engineer prepares? Just to be fair.
